Currently we are powering a SKU 12 (In-Vehicle) with a CORSAIR RM850e via. the 12v-2x6 power connection.
However, the second that we apply power to the port, the unit immediately turns on.
This is different than what I would expect. I would expect that the unit wouldn’t go to an “ON” state until the power button is pressed, or if 12VDC is applied to the wake-up signal on the vehicle harness.
In addition, the unit will not go into a graceful shutdown after we select “Shut-Down” on the Linux GUI. It goes to a black screen, but the fans remain on and continuous.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is this normal? Is this somehow connected to the fact we are using a PSU?

Is it a button the power supply unit or referring to any button on devkit?
Yes, I believe the unit is powered correctly. It is receiving 12v at the connector level. it is just that once it receivers power, it immediately turns on, with no reaction to the Thor power button.
In addition, it doesn’t fully turn off via the software, the fans just keep spinning.
When given 12v at the connector, I anticipate that the unit would stay in a stand-by mode until the button on the Thor is pressed, or until a wake up signal is provided via the vehicle harness.

The front side button is not active on Thor Devkit SKU 12.

So it is expected that the second that you provide 12v on the main connector the entire unit boots up?
What about the wake-up signal in the vehicle harness?
How about the proper shutdown? Is it ok just to immediately switch power off to the main connector? As when using the Ubuntu “power off” the fans never fully shut down for a full graceful shutdown.
Yes. there is no power on/off button on devkit. You need to control using on/off button from your power supply
For proper shutdown, you can issue poweroff command from aurix console and stop power supply.
For wakeup signal in harness, it depends on the power states.
