Problem installing JetPack 3.2 from ubuntu 16.04 host

Hi Folks

I am have trouble installing JP3.2 from my ubuntu host.

  1. I run ./JetPack-L4T-3.2-linux-x64_b196.run, after downloading.
  2. The installer runs into trouble during installation of vision works with following message
Need to get 530 kB/77.3 MB of archives.
After this operation, 168 MB of additional disk space will be used.

E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?

I would not like to skip installation of VisionWorks. Please help.

Hi,

VisionWorks depends on the libavfilter-ffmpeg5 package, which can be installed from Ubuntu repository.
Buth the repository and DNS is broken in your environment.
Could you try other repository or check the network environment first?

Hi AastaLLL and KayCCC

I am able to flash OS. Even when I started from a cleanly created new user - I was facing this issue with JetPack. But I tried switching to custom option , and then chose to not install VW. That way I was able to boot TX2 som on my carrier board. Even though I chose to skip installation of VW from JP install GUI - it still installed VisionWorks-SFM-0.90-Samples in /home/nvidia
