Problem with Jetson TX1 powering up due to low voltage output at TPS53015

Hi All,
I have a 2017 Jetson TX1 (guessing warranty is finished) which suddenly stopped working. Plugging the power will not turn anything on the board, no LEDs, no fan, nothing.

I checked the output of the power supply and it was 19V, however the voltage on the GPIO pins is showing 1.4 and 1.2V (instead of 5V and 3.3V). I found two TPS53015 chips on the datasheet to be providing the board with 5V and 3.3V. I checked the voltage on thise chips pins and one of them (right hand side)is showing 5V and 3.3V and one (left) is showing 1.4V and 1.2V. My conclusion is that the left TPS53015 is broken or some of its passive parts are.

I have 2 solutions in mind,

  1. Snap the TPS53015 off and solder a new one, risky but doable.

  2. Snap the TPS53015 off and power the board using external regulators to provide 5V and 3.3V connected to the GPIO pins along with a ground.

Any ideas of this problem or my solutions before taking the risk?

Hi, if use external power supply, the power sequence is hard to be followed as listed in OEM DG. Better to solder a new one.
