Processor package C-States. Need feedback from you guys

I’d appreciate some feedback from you all if you don’t mind spending a few seconds running powertop and sharing your results.

Is it universal with NVIDIA cards that the maximum CPU package C-state, not the cores, is always maximum C3 when you have an NVIDIA card in your system?

So far, I’ve tested four different NVIDIA cards and five different motherboards, both on CPU PCIe and chipset slots.

powertop consistently shows package max C3 state. It never goes to C6 or higher.

Am I the only one experiencing this, or is this behavior universal with NVIDIA desktop GPUs?

My cores are in C6 (14900k).

Thank you for your time, but the cores are not the problem — the package is. I have C7 on P-cores and C6 on E-cores with a 13900. However, with the GPU installed, my package gets capped at C3.

What does your Pkg(HW) show? I typically get around 50% C2 and 50% C3 when idling, with all the NVIDIA GPUs and motherboards combos I’ve tested.
