profile an application on tx2 using Nsight on a host pc

Hi,

I tried to profile an application on tx2 (video processing through ROS) using Nsight on a host pc. Nsight managed to connect to the target and run the application successfully, but after the app is done the timeline stays empty… I did a screen recording to see if i missed anything.

Hi,

Please noticed that our profiler requires root authority from CUDA v10.0.
Have you login Nsight as root?

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

Please noticed that the profiling data is output as file after the the process finished.
Not sure if the stop button will cause any abnormal exit or not.

Would you mind to use the “Execution timeout” instead?
