QM8700 Downshift to 100G

Hi,

We plan to purchase an IB switch QM8700 (32 ports QSFP56 200Gb/s).
Our setup consists of 16 servers, each equipped with one Mellanox ConnectX-6 Single-Port HDR (100 Gb/s) VPI InfiniBand adapter.

We would like to connect each server directly to a single switch port, without using breakout cables, as we do not plan to expand beyond these 16 nodes.

Do the QM8700 HDR200 ports support downshifting to HDR100?

QM8700’s HDR200 QSFP56 ports do support down-shifting to 100 Gb/s (InfiniBand HDR100) when used with compatible Mellanox/NVIDIA ConnectX-6 adapters like your ConnectX-6 Single-Port HDR (100 Gb/s) cards.
