Hello all,
I am in the process of purchasing a new laptop for my work as a professor. My work requires a lot of different tasks to be performed, yet teaching and research are most important. To the latter, it looks like I will be moving into a VR project to try and develop applications for academia, specifically on the Oculus Rift and Quest lines. As such I have been looking for a laptop with a lot of flexibility as well as one that is still modular in design (i.e. user upgradable parts such as RAM and SSD). After a lot of searching I have settled on a Lenovo, of which the P52 model seems to fit the best.
However, the Lenovo P52 has an integrated graphics card and the best that is currently offered is the NVIDIA Quadro P3200 6GB. The P3200 is listed by Lenovo as VR ready, yet I have read mixed reviews online. As my main focus is VR development, does anyone have experience as to whether the Quadro P3200 would work?
Thank you! I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and time!
