We have an NVIDIA RTX6000 graphics card we want to use with our systems. The operating systems we are using are RedHat 8.0 and RedHat 8.2. On both of the operating systems, I followed the instructions listed in the links below:
https://access.redhat.com/solutions/4134381
https://linuxconfig.org/redhat-8-nvidia-driver-install-guide
None of them yielded the expected behavior.
The behavior we are observing is:
On RedHat 8.0
- It comes to a Linux boot up screen then it hangs with the below message seen:
[5.133085] Couldn’t get size: 0x800000000000000e
[5.133102] MODSIGN: Couldn’t get UEFI db list
[5.134139] Couldn’t get size: 0x800000000000000e
On RedHat 8.2
- It comes to the RedHat splash screen then it hangs, the login prompt never comes up
The driver files we used are:
On RedHat 8.0
- First used which didn’t work: NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-450.66.run
- Then used, which still didn’t work: NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-450.57.run
On RedHat 8.2
- NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-450.66.run
We have a displayport cable connected from the RTX6000 card to a displayport on the monitor.
What would we need to do in order for the RTX6000 card to work?
