Quadro RTX 8000 available in windows device manager but not showing up in wsl

Dear all,

my Nvidia Quadro RTX 8000 data center edition is available to Windows when I open up the device manager and when I use nvidia-smi in cmd.

But the card does not show up in wsl and Windows Task Manager.

In ubuntu/wsl I get:
Unable to determine the device handle for GPU0000:44:00.0: Unknown Error

I am using a HP ZBook with a built-in P2000 and an external Razer Core X eGPU.
The same setup works very well with a RTX 3090 and a RTX A6000.

Any ideas why it does not work with the RTX 8000 and what I could do next?
Thank you very much,
Nils
