Hi,
I am working on a project to design carrier board for Nvidia Jetson AGX Thor T5000 module. I have some queries regarding its power consumption and power budget design which are as below.
- In datasheet of T5000 module the Imax is specified for SYS_VIN_HV and SYS_VIN_MV in Absolute maximum ratings Table 6-2. Its 22A @9V9V for SYS_VIN_HV and 6A @5V for SYS_VIN_MV. if i convert this values in wattage it would be 198W for SYS_VIN_HV and 30W for SYS_VIN_MV. But when i check the Total module power(TMP) rating of this T5000 its 130W which is contradicting. So my question is when designing Power budget/Power tree/Buck converters for SYS_VIN_HV and SYS_VIN_MV for my carrier board which should i consider?
- From above if we consider the 198W for SYS_VIN_HV and 30W for SYS_VIN_MV then i can calculate the rail current consumption values easily . But if we consider 130W which is Maximum Total module power then how to calculate the current consumption values for SYS_VIN_HV and SYS_VIN_MV rails. This is not clarified in the datasheet. Is this 130W combined for SYS_VIN_HV and SYS_VIN_MV?
- What power level should i target if i am designing my carrier board for industrial, Military and AI applications. Is there any application in which the current consumption of SYS_VIN_HV goes to 22A and SYS_VIN_MV to 6A as specified in the datasheet?
- For heatsink design of module which power level should i use?
- What is current consumption values for SYS_VIN_SV?
