Question on Jetson Orin Nano AI performance and video encoding capability?

Dear Community,

We provide vision based solutions for autonomous mobile robots and we find that the new Jetson Orin Nano is interesting in terms of its AI/Deep Learning capability as well as its unit cost.

However, from the spec, it does have neither DL Accelerator nor Vision Accelerator, I wonder how it could achieve relatively high TOPS in AI Performance? Does it dedicate any CPU core for that purpose ?

And for the video encoding which is important for us, it says :
1080p30 supported by 1-2 CPU cores

Does it mean that Jetson Orin Nano does NOT support 4K encoding ? Also, how many 1080p encoding streams/channels can it support with the 2 dedicated CPU cores ?

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Pascal.

Hi,

Orin Nano doesn’t have hardware encoding and it doesn’t support 4K encoding.
Please try it directly to check the number of 1080p streams that it can support.

Thanks.
