Questions that have not been solved are marked as solved when they are not. Why?
May I know what’s the issue you met?
Can you see the image? I have the same problem with same hardware configuration. It is not the only issue I have had and found similarly brief and obtuse answers and queries marked as solved when the answer in no way offers helpful advice or demonstrates any understanding of the problem. What use are these forums if query tickets are closed off like this?
Ok its not fair to say it shows no understanding of the problem but it is a lazy answer that points in the direction of a possible solution but it just sounds like someone answering with a bit of cursory knowledge but not actually having a solution. People pretending at knowing stuff breaks goodwill. It is annoying.
First, I am glad that you dig into some old posts to study. I appreciate that effort.
Basically those posts are closed because we got no feedback from that user.
The post in your screenshot looks like we want that user to share more logs but he/she just gave no feedback.
If you are talking about our system should not mart it as “solved”, then maybe we can enhance the system.
But if you are talking about the direction of that post is wrong, then I don’t think that is wrong. User should dump some logs so that we can know what is wrong on their side.
For example, if someone just told you “my computer cannot power on”, then it could be lots of kind of reasons out there. We won’t just know what is wrong by just one comment. We need logs.
Also, just one further point here. The issue you filed here is Orin Nano forum. This thing has nothing related to Jetson Nano. Jetson Nano is a SoC released 6 years ago which is using old software far from Orin Nano.
Thus, if you hit some issue on Orin Nano, please file a new post for your own. Or at least checking in Orin Nano/NX forum. But not Jetson nano one.
I accept that my snark is not helpful but if you closed of the ticket with the statement that the issue was closed due to lack of feedback that would be more helpful. The response does not actually explicitly ask the user to upload said logs. You are wrong it is not an Orion nano it is specifically a Seeed studio Recompute J101 with a jetson nano 2gb module using the waveshare stereo camera. The tech maybe 6yrs old but some of us can not afford to buy new tech but that does not mean its not still useful. If I get it working and my art project is succesful I am more likely to be able to get funding to buy more newer nvidia products. So I am sorry for my snark and can I please ask for some help with this issue please?
Hi,
Just to clarify. The forum you filed this post is Orin Nano. I mentioned Orin Nano only because your post is here.
I am okay that if you want to ask Jetson Nano topic. But you should file in right location first.
I see but that seems to be an issue with original post. Your database threw that solution up when I queried and the op referenced hardware configuration utilising a Seeed recomputer J101 would not make sense with an Orion. Maybe the moderator should have picked up on that?
I will open a new topic. I am trying to build an animatronic puppet to educate kids. I can’t afford the latest tech. I would hope Nvidia understands the benefit of supporting makers such as I.
Hi, I want to make sure that I post my new topic under the right heading. If not the category shown in the header in the op then what category should I use please?
If that is related to camera, then just use camera.
Could you be more specific about the category tree I should post in please? I just found this more recent post of someone having the same issue
You could just send out your post. The category does not really that matter at all.
Then why did you respond with this? Would your time not be better spent helping? I don’t understand.
I am talking about this is the wrong forum.
th
And I thought you are talking about this. Sorry about that.
What I was trying to say is whether you want to add that “camera” category does not matter.
What I am talking about here is you should file topic here.
And that’s all.
Ah I see because I used an example from a different board. I should of put it in a more general discussion because this issue does exist all the forums and the topic category drop downs are not clear when creating a new topic. A more friendly environment for semi tech literate (AV Electronics Bsc) creatives would be good. Have you not got some AI that would do that for you?
