Anyway Qwen-AgentWorld is a โworld model.โ Instead of being an AI assistant that does tasks, it pretends to be the environment that an AI agent is interacting with. You tell it โan agent just did X action,โ and it predicts what would happen next โ what the screen, terminal, or app would show back.
Itโs like a realistic simulator/sandbox. It covers seven kinds of environments in one model: terminal/command line, web browsing, Android phones, computer operating systems, software engineering, search, and tool-calling.
So not really something we can compare apples-to-apples
Iโm struggling with the practical use cases for these world models. Maybe Iโm a dumb dumb.
Hereโs what Iโm groking.
- Try to predict the behavior of undocumented uses of a binary or MCP tool. e.g. Feed a bunch of documented MCP tool uses in and then predict some case that is not documented.
- Lighter weight way to determine if a tool/bin should be used. Similar to functiongemma, you could use this model to make a more educated guess if you should use a heavy weight tool. Combine functiongemmaโs robust pattern matching with a world modelโs predicted answer and decide if itโs worth calling a heavy weight tool
Am I thinking of this correctly? Besides research use cases to advance computer use, are there more practical use cases Iโm missing?
