R32.1 TX2 4GB on Jetson dev kit

Hi,

We are evaluating TX2 4GB on R32.1.
After I flash jetson-tx2-as-4GB OS(sudo ./flash.sh jetson-tx2-as-4GB mmcblk0p1),
both of the usb ports on dev kit are not working.
Does anyone know why?

Are you flash TX2 4GB via sdkmanager?
Please try unplug usb cable and plug-in again or reboot device to check your usb function.

No, I flash OS by Linux_for_Tegra package.
After unplug and plug-in, usb still not work.

Is your usb port working before? or just not working on r32.1?
Could you try flash via sdkmanager?
I tried our TX2 4GB device with r32.1 image, the usb function is working.

Our p2771’s usb ports are good when I flash R32.1 TX2(8GB) OS.
But when I flash R32.1 TX2(4GB) OS, they can’t work.
Is there any problem if I flash R32.1 TX2(4GB) OS on p2771 with TX2 8GB module?

Hi yenchao,

Each config are corresponding to a specific device.
Your device is TX2 8GB module, please use “jetson-tx2.conf” config file to flash.
If you are using wrong config, it will generate an unexpected side effect.

Your web site mentioned(Jetson TX2 4GB Module | NVIDIA Developer)

Jetson TX2 4GB will be available in June 2019, but you can get started today. Purchase a Jetson TX2 Developer Kit and then download the Jetson TX2 as Jetson TX2 4GB Configuration Package. This will enable you to configure the Jetson TX2 module included in the developer kit to perform exactly like a Jetson TX2 4GB.

So I suppose jetson-tx2-as-4GB.conf is compatible with TX2 8GB.
Am I right?

Yes, you are right!
But for our release TX2 4GB package, that is using R28.2.1 image.

Sorry for confused you.
You can use R28.2.1 and R28.3 with Jetson TX2 4GB Configuration Package to flash on your TX2 8GB device.

Let me see if I understand you correctly.

  1. R28.2.1 and R28.3 with Jetson TX2 4GB Configuration Package are compatible with TX2 8GB device.
  2. R32.1 jetson-tx2-as-4GB.conf is not compatible with TX2 8GB device.
  3. R28.2.1 and R28.3 jetson-tx2-as-4GB.conf can flash OS on both TX2 4GB and TX2 8GB device.
  4. R32.1 jetson-tx2-as-4GB.conf only can flash on TX2 4GB device.
    Right?

For this case, we are release r28.2.1 and r28.3 TX2 4GB package.
Suggest you use release package for stable.
I will check with internal team about r32.1 ‘jetson-tx2-as-4GB.conf’ file.

We have not validated the conf file and won’t release “Jetson TX2 4GB Configuration Package” for 32.x because upcoming 32.2 will support the 4GB platform.

R28.2.1 & R28.3 have “Jetson TX2 4GB Configuration Package”, so they support TX2 4GB device, right?

Does R32.1 support TX2 4GB device?
I saw ‘jetson-tx2-as-4GB.conf’ in R32.1.

We didn’t validate 'jetson-tx2-as-4GB.conf’in R32.1 and R32.2 will support the real TX2 4GB platform.
