Re-boot failure after flashing

Hi,

I am having problems getting the Jetson Xavier DevKit up and running.

Flashing the Jetson OS using SDK Manager was successful, now SDK Manager asks for completing the “System configuration wizard” on the Jetson AGX Xavier, but I don’t see any HDMI output from the DevKit on the connected monitor.

I connected to the UART debug port and got the following output after resetting the Xavier using the “reset” button:

After the last output line boot procedure hangs (and no output on monitor). Sometimes it already stops at

[ 11.450817] bmi160 8-0069: bmi_init _id_i2c ERR

Does somebody have an idea about the root cause of this problem?

Stuck at “[ 11.606713] random: 7 urandom warning(s) missed due to ratelimiting” means you need to connect a HDMI monitor.

I don’t see any HDMI driver log in your attachment. Are you using any converter cable? Could you hotplug monitor when you stuck at it?

I used an HDMI to DisplayPort converter and that was the problem. I used a monitor with an HDMI interface and it worked.

Thank you!

FYI, most of the time a conversion between HDMI and DisplayPort will work. Every adapter though may have some signal quality issues getting in the way.
