Reading BRCID from kernel side

I have read through Reading BR_CID from kernel and tested.
Only the last few LSB are matching. Not the entirety.
I think the BR_CID got from the tegrarcm_v2 is the one used for features like disk encryption, which need a exact match. So I think there is benefit if we can get this from linux side.

Is there a reason they don’t match entirety?
And is there a way to get them matching exactly?

Thanks

hello user16748,

yes, that’s tegrarcm_v2 to parse the board to obtain the values.
for disk encryption, you should only ensure you’ve create encrypted images with your keys.
may I confirm what’s the real use-case to obtain BR_CID from kernel side?
