Reducing the number of mqtt messages ( Sink type =6)

Currently, sink type 6 is used to send msgs to aws iot core. What configuration parameter should be added/changed to reduce the amount of messages generates. ( The requirement is to send the count of objects to the aws iot core, But the amount of messages generated is very high)

How can i reduce the amount of messages generated ?( ex. one message per min )
