Hello NVIDIA Support Team,
I am writing to respectfully request a rate limit increase for my NVIDIA NIM API account.
-
My NVIDIA Account Email: justin@justin0711.com
-
API Key ID (Last 4 chars): [1XjL]
-
Current Limit: 40 RPM
-
Requested Limit: 200 RPM (or the next available tier for individual developer use)
Project Overview & Use Case:
I am currently using the Codex CLI as my primary development environment for personal software projects and daily coding automation. To power this setup, I rely heavily on the DeepSeek models (such as DeepSeek-R1 and DeepSeek-V3) hosted via the NVIDIA NIM endpoints.
My typical workflows involve:
-
Agentic Coding Loops: Automated code generation, multi-file refactoring, and iterative debugging cycles that execute rapid, sequential API requests.
-
Complex Tool Calling: The CLI frequently analyzes project context, manages workspace file trees, and runs parallel validation tasks.
-
High-Context Reasoning: Leveraging DeepSeek’s deep reasoning capabilities for exploring system architectures and processing dense codebase context.
Issue with Current Limits:
The default 40 RPM limit is quickly exhausted during intense coding sessions or when Codex CLI runs autonomous refactoring loops. This triggers frequent 429 Too Many Requests errors, severely breaking the agent’s context and interrupting my development flow—even with exponential backoff implemented.
Intended Use:
This rate limit increase is strictly for personal, non-commercial development, open-source experimentation, and daily productivity. I am not deploying this for any commercial production services or high-traffic public applications.
I would greatly appreciate your consideration for increasing my limit to 200 RPM. This will allow me to fully leverage the exceptional performance of the DeepSeek models on the NVIDIA NIM platform without constant interruptions.
Thank you very much for your time, support, and for providing such an incredible inference platform for developers.
Best regards,
Justin
