Hello everyone,
I am Deng Jun, an undergraduate student from the National University of Singapore. I am part of Team Bumblebee (https://bumblebee.sg/), a student-run maritime robotics team that participates in several international competitions (namely RoboSub and RobotX organized by RoboNation).
These competitions challenge teams worldwide to design and build autonomous vehicles capable of completing complex missions in dynamic maritime environments. Since our founding in 2012, Team Bumblebee has successfully developed and deployed four generations of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), four generations of Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs), and two generations of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our team has performed well in recent years, achieving first place at RoboSub in 2022, 2023, and 2025, as well as first place at RobotX 2024.
Our current platforms already leverage NVIDIA Jetson products extensively, using their computational capabilities to run onboard mission planners, perception pipelines, and AI-based vision models that enable robust autonomous task execution. As we begin development of our next generation of vehicles, we aim to further expand our onboard autonomy and perception capabilities by adopting more advanced hardware.
As such, we would like to kindly enquire about the possibility of sponsorship support from NVIDIA, specifically for the Jetson Thor platform. As a fully student-run organization that self-sources 100% of our funding, any form of sponsorship would greatly aid us in offsetting development costs and enable us to continue pushing the boundaries of autonomous maritime robotics.
I have attached our sponsorship package below for your reference. Thank you very much for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.
