Reset the Bluefield-3 DPU using cables?

Hi
I’m asking about how can I reset the bluefield-3 DPU using cables. The reason is that I cannot access either SoC or BMC on the board both of their IPs are not reachable.

Hi ,

To reset the Bluefield-3 DPU when both SoC and BMC are unreachable:

  1. Physical Power Cycle:

    • Locate the power cables connected to the DPU
    • Disconnect the power cables
    • Wait for 30 seconds
    • Reconnect the power cables

  2. PCIe Reset (if DPU is PCIe card):

    • Power down the host system
    • Remove and reinsert the DPU card
    • Power up the host system

  3. If using external power adapter:

    • Unplug the power adapter
    • Wait 30 seconds
    • Plug the power adapter back in

Note: After reset, wait a few minutes for the DPU to fully boot up before attempting to access SoC or BMC.

Default IP addresses after reset:

  • BMC: 192.168.100.2
  • SoC: DHCP or 192.168.100.1 (default)
