Restoring Jetson Jetpack 6.2 desktop

Hi there,

I recently was playing about with my Jetson Orin AGX equipped with Jetpack 6.2 (ubuntu 22.04). In the processing of changing python versions I stupidly purged the native python 3.10.8, leading to a crash of the GUI which I didn’t realise had dependencies on python.

This lead to a reboot into safemode, where I could log in from a putty terminal style view and restore an ubuntu GUI interface by reinstalling ubuntu-desktop.

However, I soon realised that something wasn’t right, the interface was laggy and it is now missing some of the jetson specific controls on the desktop such as power management.

Is there a way for me to restore the native jetson desktop to the device from within my current setup, without having to reflash from the SDK manager?

Any advice appreciated,

Thanks!

Cameron

Hi,

We recommend backing up your data and using the SDK Manager to reflash your device.

Thank you.
