In the Jetpack 6 Developer Preview, it is claimed that other Linux distributions can be used on the Jetson products. See here: JetPack SDK 6.0 DP | NVIDIA Developer “Linux Distros on Jetson” section. However, I have not seen a guide for how to go about getting RHEL (or any distribution other than the Jetson Linux) on the device. I saw this post: Any Linux distro on NVIDIA Jetson Orin with JetPack 6 – nullr0ute's blog that claims you can flash RHEL or Fedora normally after updating the firmware. I tried this and the boot was not successful. Older posts in this forum claim getting any other OS on a Jetson is either not possible, or would take a LOT of work. I’m just seeing mixed information and wanted a straight answer for 2024.
