I am currently working on a project where a robot with a track drive (like a tank) has to be simulated. Has anyone already had experience of how the track drive can be simulated in the best / most detailed way?

The problem is still open. However, it is not clear to me how an elastic rubber track can be represented in Isaac Sim.

Hello, Have you tried the Physx Vehicle Module?
They have a Tank mode that you could use for differential drive.
Alternatively, you could model it as a multi-axle robot with revolute joints and cylindrical wheels. It would not have the belt but you can have the same behavior with the appropriate drive mode.
