Hi, I am looking for an external RTC battery solution for Jetson TX2i SOM. A supercap is connected in the EV kit but i want to connect an external battery for longer back up time. According to guideline, it is mentioned to connect a rechargeable lithium magnese cell with an operating voltage in the range 2.5V~3.3V.Is it essential to connect a rechargeble battery. Can we not connect a simple coin cell. I have chosen CR2477N coin cel battery. Can someone confirm if this will work?

As said, a super capacitor, a chargeable battery or coin cell like CR1225 all can work. Your option looks fine, but need to be validated on dev kit.
