Hello,
I’m trying to find out if anyone has experienced a similar issue or knows a possible fix.
System specs:
ASUS Z790-P WiFi
Intel i5-14600KF
Zotac RTX 5060 AMP
Neo Forza DDR5 5200 16GB (1x16GB)
Deepcool PF750
MSI 480 Pro 2TB SSD
My PC randomly hard-freezes while gaming, usually after 3 to 25 minutes. When it happens, the entire system becomes completely unresponsive and I have to force shutdown by holding the power button.
During the freeze:
The image stays on screen
Mouse and keyboard stop responding completely
No BSOD or error message appears
I have tested the system with OCCT (CPU, GPU, VRAM, RAM, and Power tests). All tests completed without errors, with components under load for around 10–20 minutes.
The system is stable on the Windows desktop and does not freeze during normal use.
I also tested RAM using Windows Memory Diagnostic and MemTest, and both passed without errors.
This issue is not specific to a single game and happens in multiple games.
I have already reinstalled Windows, but the issue persists.
My GPU driver version is 591.86, and I also tested a newer version with the same result.
CPU temperatures are usually below 80°C, and HWiNFO shows normal sensor readings before the freeze.
Has anyone experienced similar hard freezes with RTX 50-series GPUs or recent NVIDIA drivers? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
