RTX Pro Sync Card with firmware update failaure

I have installed a RTX Pro Sync Card with firmware 2.02. I have (2) A5000 GPUs installed.

I am trying to update the RTX Pro Sync firmware
C:\Users\proxy_jbney8p\Downloads>nvsyncupdate install

and I get the following error message:

Writing firmware version 3.05.2061 to target device 0 …

ERROR [install]: Firmware image update failed - ErrorPreFlashFailure (9). ()(**)
() For a firmware update the tool needs to be executed with administrator privileges.
(**) Try runnning ‘nvsyncupdate’ again. If update is not possible, contact NVIDIA support.

I am running this under the Admin user.

Can you help me understand what I am doing wrong?

Hi there @adim, welcome to the NVIDIA developer forums.

Running as a user with Admin privileges is not always enough.
Did you try running the command from a command shell that was started through “Run as Administrator”?
