I am trying to install some components onto an already flashed Jetson TX1, but continue to run into the same errors ([see imgur](https://imgur.com/a/nrxNmDY))

1. Corrupt .mtd file
2. Error running command"~/tmp\_NV\_L4T\_CUDA\_TARGET\_POST\_INSTALL\_COMP.sh && rm -f ~/tmp\_NV\_L4T\_CUDA\_TARGET\_POST\_INSTALL\_COMP.sh"

I am aware of the existing [mtd file error](https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1061295/-mtd-files-corrupted-please-help-nvidia/). I have tried running the installation without any pre-existing files and with .deb files downloaded directly from the website [as suggested by moloch](https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1061295/jetson-nano/-mtd-files-corrupted-please-help-nvidia/post/5374872/#5374872)

Hi BaboonGod,

We are now investigating the download issue.
For the CUDA installation error, can you please log in TX1 and run “~/tmp\_NV\_L4T\_CUDA\_TARGET\_POST\_INSTALL\_COMP.sh” command in its terminal to see what’s the exact error?

Ok, sounds great!

For the CUDA installation error:

- [Imgur for returned unmet package dependencies](https://imgur.com/a/fF7PL7H)It
- Packages libxmu-dev and libxi-dev are not available for Jetson TX1's ARM64/AARCH64. Aptitude, which could be used to install those packages, is also not supported for ARM64/AARCH64

I think [tobilab’s suggestion](https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1061247/jetson-tx2/error-the-mtd-file-is-corrupt-start-a-new-download/post/5375518/#5375518) to run sdkmanager offline works to workaround the corrupt .mtd file issue. I had no .mtd file errors, though there were still problems with installing CUDA Toolkit LT4 ([imgur](https://imgur.com/a/tYFcr9c))

Hi BaboonGod,

This is probably because the Jetson OS version is an old one, so these two packages cannot be found. Can you try to flash TX1 first, then install CUDA with JetPack?

We’ve rolled out an update to the SDK Manager client that addresses the corrupt .mtd issue. Log into SDK Manager, and you will see a prompt to upgrade to version 0.9.14 - click continue, enter your sudo password, and the client will self-update. Let us know if you still encounter problems with the downloads.

We are also updating the SDK Manager binary installer on the website, but for now use the self-update feature.

The .mtd corrupt files error is gone, though the CUDA error persists.

Changed the source.list file on JetsonTX1 so “sudo apt-get update” no longer causes errors. Now it is again returning the error for unmet CUDA dependencies as referenced here

Hi BaboonGod,

It seems that the sources.list on your TX1 might have problem. After flashing, the default sources.list is good to use.

I’m attaching this file on my TX1 FYI.

Btw: The JetPack installation logs are available at ~/.nvsdkm/logs directory. You could update the logs there if there is more issue.

I am running the Jetson by booting through an external SSD as root, and didn’t make any changes to the SSD after flashing the Jetson, so that might be related.

Think I found a workaround by commenting out the deb commands and uncommenting the deb-src commands while unchecking all options in software & updates.

Found the ARM64 cuda files in a local directory, but it looks like SDKmanager couldn’t find them, so I made a deb reference to the folder. Currently testing to see if that fixes the issue. Dependencies aren’t automatically installed, so I’m installing them one at a time

It keeps install a version of package “nvidia-docker2” that depends on an older version of package “[docker.io](http://docker.io)”

```auto
nvidia-docker2 : Depends: docker.io (= 18.09.2-0ubuntu1~18.04.1) but 18.09.7-0ubuntu1~18.04.4 is to be installed
```

Maybe shouldn’t have sudo apt upgraded after initial flash…

After downloading and uninstalling a bunch of packages, the CUDA error was resolved
