Noticed this is a fairly common issue, with a lot of posts, but thought I would post mine as well. Apologies if this isn’t what I’m supposed to do!

After installing my system, my second monitor will freeze after a seemingly random amount of time. Sometimes, it’s within a few seconds of starting KDE Plasma, sometimes it’s after a few minutes. I’m not really sure how to reliably replicate this, it just “happens”.

Here is the log in my `.local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log`:

`kwin_wayland_drm: Pageflip timed out! This is a bug in the nvidia-drm kernel driver kwin_wayland_drm: Please report this at https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/c/gpu-graphics/linux kwin_wayland_drm: With the output of 'sudo dmesg' and 'journalctl --user-unit plasma-kwin_wayland --boot 0'`
This repeats a bunch in the file.

Here is the output of`sudo dmesg`: [[0.000000] Linux version 6.12.21-gentoo-dist (portage@localhost) (x86\_64-pc- - Pastebin.com](https://pastebin.com/bygwPw9F) (Pastebin link!)
I use OpenRC as my init system rather than systemd, so I don’t have the `journalctl` command, let me know if you need something else.

Here’s the bug report output: [nvidia-bug-report.log.gz](https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/uploads/short-url/pZxe1tAgTADbsRUYNFwLfV17puv.gz) (1.3 MB)

Here’s my specs if need be;
OS: Gentoo Linux
GPU: GeForce RTX 4090
Driver version: 570.144
Monitor 1: Alienware AW3225QF - set to 4k 240hz and 150% scale.
Monitor 2 (the one that freezes up): Alienware AW2725DF - set to 1440p 360hz and 125% scale

Let me know if you need anything else, and thank you!
