Should I be using nppplus instead of npp?

Is it necessary to use npp+ library when building programs in C++?
I only just noticed that it existed. Is it new?

I have been using npp library with C++ previously and have observed some bugs that I was never able to resolve, and wondered if there were some incompatibility in the library. Should I have been using npp+ all along? What is the underlying difference? The documentation seems to be virtually identical. The documentation would benefit from a short intro explaining the difference from npp.

I am getting the following errors. I guess it must be very new.
