Should Jetson Directly Control Servos, or Should Jetson Control another controllers?

For a commercial product with servos, actuators, and indicator LED lights, would it be recommended to use a second less expensive controller and direct that controller with a Jetson, or is it ok to directly control those devices with the Jetson? If using separate controllers, what would the advantages be which might make the added expense of Jetson indirect control worthwhile? What do I need to think about when choosing to directly control devices versus a Jetson controlling another (less expensive) CPU instead?
