Skechup + V-ray GTX 1050 Ti (Acer 17 Aspire)

Hello!

I have a problem with rendering an image in V-ray on a GTX 1050 Ti graphics card.
I know it’s an old model, but is there any chance to render on this graphics card in V-Ray?

I downloaded and installed it, but the installer skipped most of it.
cuda_12.8.1_572.61_windows

Below is information about the problem:

14.03.2025 13:58:16 Warning [V-Ray] It is recommended to use Turing-based (or later) cards for rendering with the RTX engine.
14.03.2025 13:58:16 Warning [V-Ray] Checking CUDA driver version: 5001: Installed driver version (572.61) is newer than the latest verified one (572.16)!
14.03.2025 13:58:48 Warning [V-Ray] Failed to initialize OIDN CUDA device. Falling back to CPU.

Or is the solution to “roll back” the CUDA version? If so, how?

Looking here, cards back to Maxwell, the generation prior to yours, are supported.

Installing Cuda is not required and I suspect the trouble is being caused because the driver is newer than recommended.

Switching the driver to 572.16 should get you working in Cuda mode only.
