I purchased a geforce 470 which is supposed to have 448 cuda cores. When I run the device queuery example from the SDK it shows I only have 112 cores. A lot of the SDK examples will not run as it give the infamous “failure to launch” error.

Any help would be appreciated

thank you

Did I miss something? Where was it mentioned that version 3.0 is required for the 470?

The CUDA 3.0 release page starts with the feature “Support for the new Fermi architecture…”

the 2.3 SDK makes a lot of assumptions about GPUs that are not true for GF100 either
