Smoo test for Memory Characterization failed

Hi!
I have my custom board and trying to run shmoo test which passes the SDRAM subnet test but now failing the test of walking ones.

Your CFG should be based on your DDR and layout routing design, please check it by yourself.

Use lower frequency to do test first, such as 204MHz. If it still fails, maybe the CFG has problem or the layout routing has problem.

How many boards you tested? You can do a cross check, use CFG of dev kit to run on your board, and your CFG to run on dev kit to see which freq the test can pass. Although the DDR and layout is different, there should be some freq can pass.

1 tested one board and i can’t run my config on dev kit as DDR part number of my board is different than dev kit.
I run full shmoo on 204 MHZ and it seems that it has been passed. So is it ok if i make BCT using this config file at 204MHZ and load linux in board to test if my other hardware is ok. Once all things work than i will see why it is not passing test on high frequency.

You mean if DDR layout is wrong, it can still pass the test?

Even the p/n is different, the CFG can run on dev kit at least with low freq. It is a cross test to locate issue.

You can use 204MHz cfg to run linux although it will be slow.

If your full shmoo of 204Mhz can pass, you can check the shmoo result (the excel file) to find out which item’s margin is not so good, and adjust it following app note.

There is detail description in app note, please check it to decide whether test pass and what the margin is, and then adjust accordingly.
