[solved] tadp 3.0r3 download stops with 'md5sum failed' on arch linux x64

The download stops immediately with the message:

Downloading SDK failed. Would you like to retry again? [Y/n]: Y

Error: The md5sum of [home_dir]/.NVIDIA/TADP/004/android-sdk_r23.0.2-linux.tgz is
incorrect!

After downloading the file manually from developer.android.com and placing the file manually at the given location, I got a more telling message:

error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared file: No such file or directory.

which was easily fixed by exlicitly installing the libpng12 - package (pacman -S libpng12) in addition to the libpng (v 1.6 or so?) thats installed usually.

Hi,

Could you provide us which Linux you used? Ubuntu or others?

Thanks.
Amy

Hi,

i am using Arch Linux.

Since it uses very up-to-date packages, problems like this aren’t too uncommon, but a better error message would have helped.

best regards
