Hi @rahmans, welcome!
What binaries do you want to mirror exactly? Are you thinking this would contain the complete SDK plus prebuilt samples, or just the sample binaries, or something else? Typically for OptiX development, no binaries are needed for either development or deployment. Everything you need for development is in the SDK headers, and everything you need for deployment is contained in the driver and in your application binaries.
We’re not familiar with Spack, but we could maybe consider this idea if it’s useful for OptiX users. I’m reading a little about it and curious about a few things. Is Spack being actively maintained and used? (The website gives the impression that it’s fading and/or dead, since the last blog post is 2 years old and the last CI status update is a year old.) Who builds and who hosts the binaries? Are there security or licensing implications on your end? Would there be costs and/or ongoing maintenance duties? Can you quantify the benefits having this would bring, i.e., how much time would it save and for how many people?
