SSH Error when Flashing AGX Orin

Receiving the below message in SDK Manager Terminal when trying to flash Jetson AGX Orin. Host machine is running ubuntu 20.04 in WSL. USB port is binded and attached.

After the error was discovered in the SDK terminal I vim sshd_config on the AGX Orin and uncommented out:“PermitRootLogin prohibit-password”, “PasswordAuthentication yes”, sudo systemctl restart sshd, and checked that ssh was active.

Flashing from host machine to jetson device still produced the below error SDK terminal errors.

usbipd attach --wsl --busid 1-2
usbipd: info: Using WSL distribution ‘Ubuntu-20.04’ to attach; the device will be available in all WSL 2 distributions.
usbipd: info: Using IP address 172.X.X.X to reach the host.

SDK Manager Terminal Error Message
13:55:01 ERROR: nc: connect to 192.168.55.1 port 22 (tcp) timed out: Operation now in progress
13:55:01 ERROR: Cannot connect to the device via SSH. Check the user name and password, and make sure that SSH service is running on the device. Or use the ‘Manual Setup’ instead.

Default WSL2 kernel doesn’t come with RNDIS support, so it’s impossible for it to access the device via 192.168.55.1, which is an Ethernet connection on the USB-C flashing cable.

If you want to install the JetPack SDK, just run

sudo apt update
sudo apt install nvidia-jetpack

on the device.

Thank you Dave.
