when using stage recorder to bake an animation involving a skeleton animation.
the root joint does not get baked.
i have created a very simple example

Having had an extensive conversation with the animation team, it seems they are aware of this limation where the root node has time sampled animation, that does not get baked. We are evaluating the possible solution.

@Richard3D is there a solution already? or some timeline when to expect the solution to this? we also had the same experience and are really interested in this solution and workflog. thank you.
I am afraid we do not have a solution for this, as far as I am aware. We are moving away from character work altogether. For advanced character work you need to look at Digital Humans / ACE workflows which is not part of Omniverse. We support basic character workflows but not this.
