Status of nVidia drivers for 3.11+ (.7)?

So I attempted to install the latest release of the drivers 331.20 and it compiled with 3.11.7, but when I attempted to go into KDE it kept crashing. I tried to disable the “special effects” to no avail. I ended up rolling back to 3.9.9 kernel, and that worked fine with 331.20. I am typically kind of patient, but this has been an issue with the nvidia drivers for ever (since the release of 3.10 kernel).

I have a Compaq CQ60, Fedora 19, 64-bit:

02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation C77 [GeForce 8200M G] (rev a2) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 19
        Memory at c1000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable)
        Memory at d0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable)
        Memory at c4000000 (64-bit, prefetchable)
        I/O ports at 4000
[virtual] Expansion ROM at c6000000 [disabled]
Capabilities: [60] Power Management version 2
        Capabilities: [68] MSI: Enable- Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+
        Kernel driver in use: nvidia

How did you install it? Did you just use the nvidia technique? Or find rpmfusion RPMs? Or something else?
