Still a bit lost on a camera connection issue - any help appreciated

Hi,

just bought an:

thought about purchasing:

However, can you extend the wire connection to the cameras up to ten meters? What would be the best way to deal with this issue? Can you use regular cables instead of ribbons? Is there a wifi solution on this?

Cameras are connected to Jetson AGX Orin using CSI interface which is high speed interface. Total trace lengths are limited by the insertion loss. Please refer to Chapter 10. Video Input in the Jetson AGX Orin Series Design Guide (including AGX Orin Industrial) for further information Log in | NVIDIA Developer

Please check CSI to GMSL deserializers which could help extend the cable lengths supported.

No solution with WiFi. Solution might be to use GMSL deserializers. Some example in link below…

Thanks a lot…already supposed that ribbon cables wouldn’t work…will try the deserializer board
