Stuck on bootloader screen on Nano 2GB

Got a Nano 2GB the other day and just got around to starting it up. Flashed a PNY 256gb card with the most recent image and connected an apple usb-c power supply.

With HDMI connected was met with what looks like a bootloader screen -

According to the guide, it should be going to some sort of splash screen. At this point, the menu is unresponsive (tried 2 different keyboards).

Attempting to go the headless route, the connection asks for a login/password. Again, the guides I’d seen depicted seeing a setup guide on first connect.

To attempt to resolve, I’ve re-flashed the card a few times, verified the checksum of the downloaded image (JP 4.4.1), and have tried a few different power supplies.

Does this seem like an sd card issue? Is there a size cap that I’ve exceeded here? I’m getting a 128gb in the mail tomorrow so I can try and see if that’s the issue. Will update.

Hi,

Are you sure you are using the 2GB sdcard image but not the 4GB one?
Have you tried sdkmanager?

Actually, this should not be printed on the HDMI monitor… but only the serial console.

Thanks for the reply. Confirmed am using the 2gb image. Haven’t tried flashing with SDKManager.

I found a 32gb card to use, flashed that same image and it worked as expected.

So the issue here is either with this particular mSD card, or the size of the card itself.

I’ll give it a whirl with SDKManager as I’d like the extra storage.
