Trying to figure out how to manage a north-south IB to Ethernet scenario (i.e. IPoIB to IPoEther) using the mellanox SX6036 contra the older 4036E.

As far as I can see, the SX6036, with proper licensing for VPI and Proxy gateway, can only handle ONE proxy VLAN to PKEY instance.

According to the 4036E docs, it can handle more instances (how many?) but of course with a lower speed both on the ethernet interfaces and the IB interfaces compared to the SX6036.

Someone having a clue on if/when the SX6036 will handle more than one VLAN/PKEY gateway?

Multiple PKEY to VLAN mapping will be supported probably early next year on the SX6036. We don’t have exact numbers available but likely 32.

The 4036E supports 64 VLAN to PKEY maps, 32 while in HA mode. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

I believe that things are in the works to allow up to 32 VLAN-PKEY interfaces although I don’t have the exact timeline when this will be made available.
