Andy: "Our position is we support mixed configurations so long as the server vendor / OEM supports it. As long as the vendor has qualified multiple K2s, then they have no power/thermal/mechanical issues with running mixed K1 / K2. But they may have SBIOS issues; the K1 requires double the amount of PCIe MMIO space of K2. If the vendor has only qualified K1s, then all bets are off with K2 due to its higher power / cooling requirements."
