TCP/IP UDP

Hi,

I need an example in Fortran to exchange a string via TCP/IP or UDP between a sender and a receiver. I can possibly write a C code to act as the conduit, but I want something purely in Fortran. I searched the net but could not find anything on this.

Hi Kulachi,

I doubt if you can do it in pure Fortran. I think you will at least need an interface which is probably in C.

Thanks for the reply. Check this out:

I guess the TCP/IP support is available in Compaq Fortran compiler. I presume it is not so for PGI.

Hi Kulachi,

I believe they provide an interface for the user. Sorry, we don’t have that available.

Hongyon

Great! Could you pass along my request that it should be available in some future version!

Hi Kulachi,

I will pass along your request. But what platform would this be for? Linux, Win32, Win64, etc.?

As we don’t know if we will support this user interface in the near future. You can look at this website for example:
