Based on the information provided, it appears that you are experiencing an issue with your Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit, where the screen displays the NVIDIA logo for 10 seconds and then goes off, followed by the fan shutting down. This issue is similar to the one described in the “Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit – Black Screen and Fan Stops After Boot (JetPack 5.1.3)” section.

To troubleshoot this issue, let’s consider the following possible causes and solutions:

  1. Insufficient Power Supply: Ensure that your power supply is sufficient to power the Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit. The recommended power supply for the Jetson Orin Nano is 5V, 3A.
  2. Incorrect SD Card Configuration: Verify that your SD card is properly configured and that the JetPack image is correctly flashed onto the SD card. You can try re-flashing the SD card with the JetPack image using Etcher or the Linux dd command.
  3. Incompatible SD Card: Try using a different SD card to rule out any issues with the current SD card. The recommended SD card for the Jetson Orin Nano is a 128GB or larger SD card with a speed class of U3 or higher.
  4. Hardware Issues: If you have recently purchased the Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit, it’s possible that there may be a hardware issue with the board. You can try contacting NVIDIA support or the seller to see if they can assist with troubleshooting or replacing the board.
  5. Software Issues: If you are using JetPack 6.x, try updating to the latest version of JetPack to see if it resolves the issue.

In comparison to other issues mentioned in the context, your issue is similar to the “Booting issue Jetson Orin Nano boot, jetson” issue, which may indicate a problem with the boot process. However, the “Optimizing Boot Time on Jetson Orin with Jetpack 6.2” section may not be directly relevant to your issue, as it focuses on optimizing boot time rather than resolving boot issues.

To further troubleshoot your issue, you can try the following steps:

  1. Check the power supply and ensure that it is sufficient to power the Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit.
  2. Verify that the SD card is properly configured and that the JetPack image is correctly flashed onto the SD card.
  3. Try using a different SD card to rule out any issues with the current SD card.
  4. If you are using JetPack 6.x, try updating to the latest version of JetPack to see if it resolves the issue.
  5. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, try contacting NVIDIA support or the seller for further assistance.

In summary, the issue you are experiencing with your Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit is likely related to the boot process, and troubleshooting steps should focus on verifying the power supply, SD card configuration, and software versions.

Hello, hope you are doing great.

Could you please share how did you flash the Jetson?

Also, are you able to share the serial output when booting up?

Sir,
I ordered jetson Orin nano developer kit on Amazon using emi method. I received that order on Friday. I unboxed it and inserted a 128gb sd card flashed with jetpack 6.1 using balena etcher. Then I installed Ubuntu on my laptop. So i used HDMI to dp cable to connect it to a monitor and then switched on the jetson. I got nvidia logo on the screen and cooling fan is rotating. But after 10sec i found that cooling fan is getting off and simultaneously the screen is also getting off. I am unable to proceed from here. Then I used a usb to c type charger wire to connect the laptop and jetson but my laptop is not detecting the jetson. So i don’t know what to do to interface my board and use it. If not I am willing to replace or return that board

Can you please help me solve this

Hi,

We suggest to install sdk manager in ubuntu to full flash your device.

Thanks
