Tesla P40 for 3D applications on VMWare running RDSH 2016?

Hi,

We’re running Microsoft Remote Desktop Session Host 2016 servers hosted on Vmware 6.7 using Dell PowerEdge R740 servers. (Pure RDSH, not Citrix XenApp, Citrix Xendesktop or VMware Horizon.)

We would like to purchase a Tesla P40 24 GB card for supporting 3D applications like AutoCAD or SketchUp for a selected single RDSH server.

I can see that Nvidia grid M10 model can enhance video performance on Remote Desktop Session Host servers but do you have any experience using Tesla P40? Does it support 3D on RDSH?

Thank you and regards,

Roland

You can use all supported Tesla boards but have in mind you will also need vApps licensing for RDSH users.
