Texture cache for non-texture data? Could you please provide an example?

Hi All!

I’m using the constant memory (which maximum size is 65536) for buffering text I search the word in and I got a good performance improvement!

But unfortunately I may search only 1 word in this text now (adding words to global memory decrease performance linearly).

Questions:

  1. May I use a texture memory to store the dictionary (word list) and how to declare it?
  2. Will it significantly increase a performance due to texture caching instead global memory access?
  3. Could you please provide an example of such texture memory use (how to push values to texture, how to fetch the values)?
