I think there must something wrong happened to the model’s normal when exporting to USD from Blender using the Omniverse addon.
This is the normal in Blender:

@user79641 could you try changing Normal & Tangent Space Generation Mode to CPU instead? That should be a better fix. These seams should go away for GPU mode too in the next release.
