The connected Jetson Device is not ready for flash (Jetson AGX Orin)

Hello,

Whenever I’m trying to flash my device, it always shows me that non-optimal usb connection error. I tried to flash with different win computers, different ports, different cables, both on ubuntu (22.04) and windows. It doesn’t accept flashing and when I try to access the UI, It goes black after command line loading screen.

How can I just reset and re-flash my machine without spending hours and on one go?

Thank you

Hi,

Could you provide the exact procedure you used for flashing the Jetson AGX Orin?

Please share the following information:

  1. JetPack/L4T version you are trying to flash.
  2. SDK Manager version.
  3. Host environment: native Ubuntu 22.04, Windows SDK Manager, WSL, VM, etc.
  4. The exact steps you used to put the board into Force Recovery Mode.
  5. Which USB-C port on the AGX Orin you connected to the host.
  6. A screenshot of the “device is not ready for flash” / “non-optimal USB connection” error.
  7. The exported SDK Manager error log. If you used command-line flashing, please share the full terminal log instead.
  8. On Ubuntu, please run lsusb while the board is in Force Recovery Mode and share the output.

Without the exact flashing steps and the screenshot/exported log, it is hard to tell whether the failure is caused by recovery mode, USB enumeration, host setup, or the flashing process itself.

Thanks.
