# The difference between NvBufferLayout\_Pitch and NvBufferLayout\_BlockLinear

Hello！

On the basis of 14\_multivideo\_decode.  
I want to use the dump\_dmabuf() function to write DMA(BlockLinear) buffer to file, this is a failure.

How to solve this problem? What is the format of Layout\_BlockLinear.

Hi,  
Please convert the buffer to pitch linear format and then call _dump\_dmabuf()_. Block linear format is for internal usage.
