Ok, so are you talking about there is nothing inside this direcotry? The one I mark in red circle.
No.
Sorry, I am not a native Englisher speaker. Does your “no” mean it is empty or you mean something else…?
I meant no other file or path/folder. Just sdkm_dowloads which is the only one under nvidia.
Err… sorry.
Could you open a terminal and go to ~/ and share me the result ls -a under this path?
I just don’t understand why you keep telling me about the nvidia/sdkm_dowloads folder. I am not asking about this one at all.
The screenshot has shown what files are inside/under the folder of nvidia.
No.
Are you able to see the red circle I just added in below picture? This is not the directory you show in this screenshot… It looks like there are 2 nvidia folders here. Is the one in red circle an empty one?
So are there 2 nvidia folders or only 1? I don’t get your point about why you keep asking us to check the one under Downloads.
I already told, this is not the folder we want to check.
Nothing in nivida folder except sdkm_download.
This is what I wanted to say.
I don’t want to spend both of our time in arguing this stuff… Could you just reply below questions?
-
Are there 2 nvidia folders?
-
Could you run command ls ~/nvidia and share the result?
No, only one nividia folder which is under the downloads.
I did it last night. I will do it again tonight.
so what is the one I mark as red circle inside that picture ? Same directory as Downloads/nvidia? Are you sure about that?
This is your host pc, only you can answer this question.
100% sure. There is one and only one nvidia folder in my host computer.
I don’t want to question you. But please still try what I said after you can access the host.
Share me the result of ls ~/ and ls ~/Downloads. Two results.
After this, please open sdkmanager, start the flash process of your TX2. and share me the screenshot of every stage you saw on your sdkmanager.
You don’t need to really flash the TX2, just let sdkmanager download the necessary files.
Please do follow and answer every of the request here.
Ok. Thank you.
I am at work now. I will do it tonight.
Thank you for your help.
I was not aware of another nvidia folder on the picture due to being occupied with a lot of things at work.
Another nvidia folder has 1 folder and 3 sub-folders(one of them is empty). Linux_for Tegra is under one of the sub-folder.
ok, so back to your original topic. Is flash.sh in those folders? If it is ,then this issue could be closed.
Yes. I found the flash.sh in one of the folders.
One more question. How do I copy or flash linux for Tegra to a SD card and make it bootable? I tried it once(another linux distro) for another SOC but failed.
Actually we don’t provide a official sdcard image for any Jetson TX2 series device.
However, you can create one for it by using the similar method as boot from usb drive here. But you need to replace the usb drive device name here to your sdcard.
